LEARN ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

HOW WE STARTED

The Florida Athletics Softball Program was founded in 2023 by Steve and Sheree Gonzalez, however the groundwork for this program and our culture began in 2003 with the Lady Lunatics Fastpitch Organization. Our program is a non-profit 501c3 organization. Our focus is on the develop of our players, while positioning them to have the best experiences competing while earning scholarship opportunities that will provide them with an education.

Our coaching staff is as knowledgeable about the recruiting process as they are about the game. We have helped 250+ players secure collegiate scholarships. We believe in educating the players and their parents about the recruiting process, providing valuable tools and information to streamline the process and ensure that they have the support needed.

OUR MISSION

Our primary focus is to provide a safe, competitive environment for our talented student-athletes to develop their skills for the game and achieve their maximum potential. We put the PLAYER'S goals FIRST and work to incorporate their skill set into our team dynamic. We provide opportunities for our student-athletes to compete in fastpitch events around the State of Florida and national events across the United States. It is our goal to provide our players with the most opportunities to be seen by college coaches and recruiters in an effort to further their softball careers at the collegiate level while getting an education. We play the game the right way with class and sportsmanship.

Florida Athletics Softball is a franchise of a nationally ranked/recognized organization. Our program is designed to provide female student-athletes with experienced collegiate, high school, and travel ball coaches who understand what it takes to compete at the next level. Our program is centered around the needs of the player FIRST. It's our mission to provide these young ladies with the best environment to succeed in the sport and offer every opportunity achieve their individual goals and the ability to fulfill their dreams of playing collegiate softball.

25+ years of upper-level coaching experience
NFCA Member Since 2003

20+ years of recruiting experience w/ 300+ player in college programs

1-2 practices weekly

(hitting & position specific instruction)
